³² Indeed, he will be handed over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, mistreat him, spit on him, ³³ flog him, and kill him. On the third day, he will rise again.”

³⁴ They did not understand any of these things. What he said was hidden from them, and they did not understand what was said.
